Meet the Doctor
Dr. Marianne DayDr. Day has been involved in dentistry for over 20 years. She started working for a local orthodontist as a dental assistant while attending New Mexico State University. She grew up in Las Cruces, went to NMSU. She graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle, one of the first handful of women to do so. After continuing her education at the University of Maryland Advanced General Dentistry Residency (first woman resident), she served with the Public Health Service in Talihina, Oklahoma. As Chief of Staff of the Talihina Indian Hospital, she managed the hospital-based clinic, inpatient care and three outlying clinics, staffed with 3 dentists and 11 assistants. Her work received special ribbons and honors. Returning to New Mexico to become the first woman dentist to practice in Las Cruces and one of the first five in the state, Dr. Day practiced as an associate and opened this practice in 1987. She believes no one should feel pain or be uncomfortable in her hands and that everyone is entitled to the best and the latest modern dentistry has to offer, within their means. Dr. Day has an interest in patients who have special concerns for their dental health. The oral environment influences physical and psychological health far more than ever realized. Not only can dentists have people looking and feeling good about themselves, but risks of heart diseases, stroke and premature births can be reduced. It is to her patients' good health does Dr. Day commit her talents as a dental professional. Credentials and Memberships
